The Lucidea Array Spotter must be placed in a class 100 000 or better clean room. This clean room has less than 100 000 particles larger than 0.5 µm in each cubic foot of air space. Temperature and Humidity requirements: Ambient temperature: 20-24 degrees Celsius (68-75 degrees Fahrenheit) Ambient humidity: 35%-65% RH Caution: Failure to meet the laboratory temperature and humidity requirements can cause poor instrument performance. Note: You should use a thermometer to monitor the ambient temperature and a hygrometer to monitor the ambient humidity in your laboratory. Humidity regulation on the Lucidea Array Spotter is based on the humidity difference between the inside and outside of the instrument The humidifier turns on when the ambient humidity in the room is less than or equal to the instrument humidity setting. If the ambient humidity is higher than the instrument setting, the humidifier will shut off. There is no dehumidifying mechanism in the instrument. To reduce the humidity inside the instrument, you must reduce the humidity in the laboratory.
Air purity requirements: Pollution degree: 2 Installation category: II You must place the Lucidea Array Spotter in a class 100 000 or better clean room. This clean room has less than 100 000 particles larger than 0.5 µm in each cubic foot of air space. If the clean room requirements are not met at installation, Amersham Biosciences cannot guarantee that the instrument will comply with the installation specifications. Note: For clean room guidelines and additional information on the environmental requirements on the Lucidea Array Spotter, please refer to the Lucidea Array Spotter site preparation guide which is provided with the instrument. |
