MegaBACE™ ET Size Standards
Technical Information
MegaBACE™ ET Size Standards are DNA fragments of known size that are 5'-labeled with energy transfer (ET) dyes. The ET-labeled size standards provide significantly higher signal compared with conventional size standards. The dye configuration consists of FAM and ROX dyes separated by a linker. The FAM dye is excited by 488 nm blue laser light. After excitation, FAM transfers its energy to the ROX dye, which emits light at 610 nm. MegaBACE™ ET Size Standards are used in conjunction with MegaBACE™ DNA Analysis System, MegaBACE™ Genetic Profiler software, Long Read Matrix for microsatellite genotyping, and other fragment analysis applications.

MegaBACE™ ET400-R size standard contains a set of 20 bands with an average spacing of 17 base pairs. MegaBACE™ ET550-R size standard contains 22 bands at 25 bp periodicity with feature bands at 60 and 310 bp. MegaBACE™ ET900-R size standard contains 37 bands at 25 bp periodicity with feature bands at 60, 310, and 610 bp.
