Mag Sepharose™ platform - Magnetic beads for easier collection of low-abundance proteins

Mag Sepharose beads are magnetic beads designed for simplified handling in the enrichment of target proteins or peptides. Antibodies or other proteins immobilized to Mag Sepharose beads with Protein A, Protein G, or NHS ligands are used for capture of target proteins using immunoprecipitation techniques, whereas the TiO2 Mag Sepharose bead has direct affinity for phorsporylated peptides from digested protein samples. The collection of the beads in the enrichment process is achieved using a magnetic device. The high density of the beads allows rapid capture by magnetic devices while the visibility of the beads ensures reliable collection of all target proteins or peptides .
  • Protein A Mag Sepharose and Protein G Mag Sepharose: allow effective coupling of monoclonal or polyclonal antibodies for immunoprecipitation experiments
  • NHS Mag Sepharose: allows coupling of any protein or biomolecule containing a free amine group. Used for pull-down experiments
  • TiO2 Mag Sepharose: designed for enrichment of phosphorylated peptides
The beads are each available in two pack sizes: 1 × 500 µl slurry and 4 × 500 µl slurry.

Together with MagRack 6, a separation tool for handling the beads in microcentrifuge tubes, up to six samples can be processed in parallel.

See the Protein A Mag Sepharose, Protein G Mag Sepharose, NHS Mag Sepharose datafile and TiO2 Mag Sepharose datafile for more information.
