Developments in Protein Interaction Analysis (DiPIA 2011)

Join leading scientists at Developments in Protein Interaction Analysis (DiPIA) to meet and discuss the latest applications, results, and troubleshooting tips in bio-molecular interaction and stability analyses. Presenters will include experts from academia and industry using Biacore* and MicroCal* systems. We expect to attract more than 200 delegates and speakers from around the world.

Conference topics include:

  • Structure-activity relationships
  • Fragment and small molecule screening and characterization
  • Novel methods in biophysical analysis
  • Biotherapeutic and vaccine development
  • Systems biology and proteomics

Speakers include:

  • Dr. Indresh Srivastava from NIH: Use of ITC/DSC and Biacore in vaccine development
  • Dr. Tony Giannetti from Genentech: Biacore for fragment screening
  • Dr. David Myszka from The University of Utah: Biacore applications
  • Dr. David Wilson from Georgia State University: SPR and ITC, compelling disease-linked research, drugs against DNA targets

Protein Purification Tour 2011

Protein purification is an important component of many lab workflows, but no longer something scientists can afford to make their life’s mission.

If you have recently added protein purification to your lab routine or have colleagues in your lab who would like to learn more about protein purification, the Protein Purification Tour 2011 seminars are designed for you. We invite you to join us this October, when our R&D scientists will be discussing important topics for those of you who are not experts in this area.

Seminar topics:

  • Strategies for protein purification strategies
  • Purification of miniature spidroins expressed in E.coli
  • The final step, polishing after refolding of histidine-tagged proteins
  • Detergent strategies for membrane protein purification
  • Improved antibody purification: Making optimal use of protein A and protein G columns
  • Magnetic beads for screening and optimization

The seminar will feature three and one-half hours of presentations with question and answer sessions followed by informal discussion and reception.

We’ll provide coffee during registration and the poster session. A light lunch will be provided during the reception. You are encouraged to stay for one-on-one discussions with our scientists and other participants during the reception.

Please visit the Protein tour site for more information.

IBC - Bioprocessing Summit

GE Healthcare is pleased to present "The Expanding Case For Flexible Manufacturing".

Increased focus on productivity in biopharmaceutical manufacturing has led to a larger demand for disposable process solutions. ReadyToProcess™ is a family of products that support biopharmaceutical processing from end to end. The product range is developed to achieve operational excellence by enabling LEAN manufacturing. In this workshop, the evolving landscape of flexible manufacturing solutions will be discussed. A case study of ReadyToProcess manufacturing is presented along with ROI analysis.
