Tricorn™ columns
Prepacked Tricorn high-performance columns are designed for high-resolution protein purification at laboratory scale, making them an excellent choice for the polishing step in multi-step purification protocols.
Tricorn columns are available empty for packing with your choice of mediumor with prepacked chromatography media. Tricorn columns are available for a wide range of protein purification techniques including gel filtration, ion exchange, chromatofocusing, and hydrophobic interaction chromatography.
Optimized column design allows even distribution of liquid eluent over the entire column cross-section and minimizes dead volumes, enabling high-resolution separations. | |
The columns are simple to use, with specially designed fittings for easy connection to ÄKTA™design™ and other high-performance LC systems. The columns can be run according to their specifications where the systems have the appropriate pressure capacity.
Tricorn GL columns are manufactured from glass, which allows for visual inspection of the media bed. These columns are coated with a protective plastic film, that protects the column and provides greater personal safety in the event of breakage, without impairing visibility of the media bed.
