Sephacryl High Resolution (HR) chromatography media allow fast and reproducible purification of proteins, polysaccharides, and other macromolecules by gel filtration at laboratory and industrial scales.
Sephacryl is composed of allyl dextran and N,N’-methylene bisacrylamide, cross-linked to form a strong and stable matrix, and may be a useful alternative to Superdex prep grade for applications that require a broader fractionation range. The high chemical stability of Sephacryl has led to its adaptation to industrial scale processes such as serum protein purification.
Sephacryl HR media are available in prepacked HiPrep Sephacryl HR gel filtration columns. These columns are fully compatible with chromatography systems in the ÄKTA design platform, adding automation and convenience to the excellent purification properties of Sephacryl.

Sephacryl media cover a wide fractionation range (from Mr 103 to >108). The product range includes media of six alternative porosities (related to dextran content), with each porosity giving a different selectivity profile.
