NanoVue Plus spectrophotometer is an easy-to-use and reliable instrument for the measurement of nucleic acid and protein samples by direct measurement or colour methods. Samples of 0.5 μl to 5 μl can be pipetted directly onto the gold-colored sample plate for measurement, and then simply recovered using a pipette. If sample recovery is not required, the sample plate can be quickly and easily wiped clean.

NanoVue Plus requires no PC to operate and no time-consuming third-party recalibration. The spectrophotometer comes complete with advanced software for CyDye incorporating intuitive dropdown lists for common fluors and the full CyDye range for easy protocol selection.
NanoVue Plus also includes software for Print via Computer (PVC) and even allows you the choice of using USB cable, Bluetooth wireless connectivity, integrated printer option, or SD card.
Data output is via standard USB cable and PVC (print via computer ) software, allowing data to be transferred to a PC or with the integrated printer, wireless Blutooth or SD card options.

NanoVue Plus Spectrophotometer
NanoVue Plus Spectrophotometer is a stand-alone instrument with a novel drop-and-measure sample plate that can be used with a wide range of chemicals. NanoVue Plus can be used for the accurate and reliable quantitiation of nucleic acids and protein samples. The ability to pipette samples of 0.5 to 5 μl directly onto the sample plate eliminates the need for cuvettes or other sample devices. Compatible buffers, detergents, and solvents for samples on NanoVue™ Plus Spectrophotometer
The following products are confirmed as compatible for use with the gold-colored sample plate on NanoVue Plus. Note that although the products listed in the table below will not cause damage to the plate, in some cases the volatility of the product may either be too high to permit readings at all, or may be sufficient to impair the droplet symmetry potentially causing inaccuracy in the readings. This is a function of the chemicals that make them less suitable for most small volume measurements. Close

NanoVue™ spectrophotometer is a simple-to-use UV/visible instrument with twin CCD array detectors (1024 pixels) and few moving parts, which contributes to its inherent reliability. Using NanoVue, typical sample volumes of 2 µl are pipetted onto a hydrophobic surface and then a very short pathlength of either 0.2 mm or 0.5 mm is created by lowering the sampling head onto the top of the sample. With the sample so constrained, all of the general software features of the instrument, including wavelength scanning, single or multi-wavelength absorbance and concentration measurement, kinetics, standard curves and absorbance ratio, can be utilized. NanoVue also has a range of specific life science applications, including DNA and RNA concentration and purity, oligonucleotide concentration, Tm calculation, CyDye™ concentration and a variety of protein measurements. In all of these applications, instead of the actual absorbance measurement being used, the value is normalized to reflect a standard pathlength of 10 mm, so that generally accepted factors (50 for DNA, 40 for RNA and 33 for proteins, for example) can be used to calculate concentration.
